Day 14 – A new lut in a rainy day

How have you all been doing over the past day. Yesterday was a very rainy day wait a second I did mention it yesterday. Oh well, you guys will be sticking with me for a while thats for sure as I got some really good photos on that that. I also started to use Rawtherapee with the film simulation so I was able to start editing photos faster and applying the simulation with much more ease. Before I get into the nitty gritty let me go over the photo that I took. So location wise, I took the photo on W Peachtree St at the 5th street intersection. I was across the intersection in the front area of the Scheller building. I was hiding under cover from the rain and looking into the intersection I noticed a bit of fog going past a building. I quickly took out my phone choose the 3x telephoto lens and pointed at the scene. Then I hit the shutter and there went my picture to the gallery. For framing I moved the camera to avoid the cars moving on W Peacthree st and I put a slight angle so the eyes moved toward the building in the fog.

From that I moved the photo to my computer and into Rawtherapee. From there I made minor adjustments to the brightness, exposure and the full catalog. After that I go to the color page and open the film simulation pane. For this photo I felt a black and white feel would do it service especially as it dealt with street photography. I am still going through and learning what each film simulation looks like but then I landed on Fuji FP-3000b +. At the moment I do not know what the plus is but I can look it up and let you guys know. This provided great contrast an the graidient of grey going into the sky looks very pleasing. I enjoyed the look very much and I might use it on other photos that I take in the future.

Thanks again for reading my daily posts. There will be a gallery soon which I am excited to show off. On top of that I got the site fixed so you guys can see my home page for the first time. I am suprised I have never noticed it. Overall there have been many fixes and there will be many new things in the future. With that I hope to see you guys tommorrow.
