Day 4

Welcome back viewers. It is another night and you know what that means. Another photo. Today I am bringing something slightly different photo. To be honest it is still in Atlanta so not much exploration but this time I am actually inside of Georgia Tech’s campus. The photo was taken in between the psychology building and Weber sst.

This time I took the photo on my phone while still capturing a raw image. If you do not know RAW images are great in that they store a lot of information which you may loose in normal jpg and Heic. These latter two are file formats used by most cameras to take compressed images. So with the RAW images I was able to pull more detail from the shadows while also keeping the sky from being too bright. After that I used another filter to provide this teal and orange color. This allowed me to form more of a mysterious/ ominous vibe. On top of that to get one step closer to the film emulation that I love to go on about I added artificial grain to the image. It gives it that texture which would usually never appear on a digital image.

Aside from pictures I actually finished reading book 1 in “The Wheel of Time” series “The Eye of the World” by Robert Jordan. It has been a while since I have read any fantasy novel of this length. Overall it was a splendid read and a warm welcome back to high fantasy. I would greatly recommend it, however do know the story will suck you in for a long 12 book ride which I found out.

If you have any questions or thought on either the picture or the novel I mentioned leave it down below. I would love to talk about photography terminology, tips which I have learned from others, and also about stories which you may have read.

See you tomorrow then.
